Life Skills Foundation
The Sprecise Life Skills Foundation program consists of four stages—EXPLORE, EVOLVE, BELIEVE, and ACHIEVE—each designed to guide children and individuals with unique challenges toward functional independence. In the EXPLORE stage, foundational life skills are developed through daily routines, helping participants build essential habits at home. EVOLVE introduces personalized projects and chores, fostering early math and literacy skills through practical, interest-based activities. In BELIEVE, participants work with peers and mentors, learning teamwork, communication, and how to showcase their accomplishments. Finally, the ACHIEVE stage focuses on turning these skills into professional opportunities, where participants build resumes, market their projects, and potentially launch small businesses or prepare for employment. Each stage is carefully structured to help individuals gain confidence, develop their abilities, and lead a fulfilling life.
EXPLORE
In the EXPLORE stage, each participant follows a personalized daily scheduler that runs from morning to night, encompassing 34 essential life activities such as brushing teeth, meal times, playtime, and social interactions. These foundational skills are meant to be practiced at home with guidance from parents or caretakers. This stage focuses on building functional habits through structured online sessions, with each goal tied to a sprint (a sequence of 5–10 sessions). The tasks are flexible and can be completed with help from family members, babysitters, or certified Sprecise facilitators. During EXPLORE, the platform also identifies the child’s interests and abilities, setting the stage for future growth in the program.
EVOLVE
In the EVOLVE stage, children continue to follow their daily schedules while taking on new projects based on their interests, such as creating art, helping with meals, or organizing household chores. Projects are designed to match their abilities, encouraging participation in family tasks like laundry, grocery shopping, and cleaning. Practical learning is introduced, such as recognizing numbers (0–9) and using basic math skills through a calculator, alongside developing literacy skills based on their interests. For example, if a child loves cars, the focus might begin with recognizing and writing the word "CAR," followed by related concepts like "WHEELS" and "ROAD." This stage helps children gain confidence, express their strengths, and engage in more complex tasks, setting them up for further success.
BELIEVE
In the BELIEVE stage, participants begin to work with others in a team-based environment. Whether connecting with peers in the program or working with mentors and volunteers, this stage emphasizes social skills and communication. Children learn how to present their projects, receive constructive feedback, and work collaboratively. This stage fosters the ability to showcase their work confidently while developing critical teamwork skills, preparing them for future collaboration in professional or personal settings.
ACHIEVE
ACHIEVE is the final stage of the Sprecise program, where participants apply their accumulated skills to real-world tasks. At this stage, they create resumes highlighting their projects, teamwork, and achievements. They also learn how to list and price their products, market them online, and potentially turn their creations into small businesses. Participants are introduced to basic banking, billing systems, and managing finances for their projects. With support, they learn how to use technology such as billing scanners, online sheets, and calculators for business operations. This stage may also involve connecting with potential investors or sellers who are interested in their products, preparing them for future employment or entrepreneurial ventures.
